Opening of The Southside Youth Space and Café November 2009, Limerick.
The Southside Youth Space presents an opportunity for young people aged between 10 - 21 to engage in programmes such as the creative arts, sports and a number of other educational pursuits. These programmes will be offered with the support of various service providers on the Southside of the City. We are now calling on Volunteers from all over Limerick to lend us their expertise and support in delivering these programmes.
If you have the time and energy to commit at least two hours per week with skills in any of the following areas we would urge you to attend our open evening on:
Date: Wednesday 7th October 2009
Place: Galvone Industrial Estate (Former Fulflex building)
Time: 7pm / 9pm.
Arts
Music (instrument voice)
Multimedia (see programme outline below)
Drama
Dance
IT (News letter development)
Craft
Woodwork
Cooking
Peer support
The evening will be a great opportunity to explore some of the volunteering possibilities, gain an insight into what we aim to provide to the young people of Limerick City and surrounding communities and also to develop a sense of the space.
If you are unable to attend you can email me at: jackol@limerickyouthservice.com or alternatively phone 087 9069073 and I can arrange a suitable time to meet with you to discuss the aforementioned programmes.
